Zoë Kravitz wasted no time in calling out “tacky” Hulu for cracking a joke about her relationship with Harry Styles to promote her canceled show, “High Fidelity.”
“Robyn Brooks definitely has ‘Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally’ on her playlist,” the streamer wrote alongside a photo of Kravitz as her “High Fidelity” character on Instagram last week.
The caption referenced the actress’s fiancé’s fourth studio album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” which was released on March 6.
“This is tacky,” Kravitz, 37, commented, tagging the Disney-owned streaming platform. The post has since been deleted.
As one fan explained, the “Big Little Lies” star’s comment was well warranted as they noted they would “be pissed too if the network that cancelled my show used my personal life as advertisement six years later.”
Kravitz led the gender-flipped comedy series — which was based on the 1995 novel by Nick Hornby and drew inspiration from the 2000 film adaptation starring John Cusack — for its 10-episode premiere season.
But, shortly after its Feb. 14, 2020, release date, Hulu promptly pulled the plug and announced the cancellation in August.
Kravitz has not shied away from sharing her criticism of Hulu’s decision. At the time, she slammed the streamer via Instagram for axing its only show led by a woman of color.
“At least Hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait,” she wrote, responding to a message from Tessa Thompson expressing her condolences, per Variety.
In 2022, the “Batman” actress slammed Hulu once again for the cancellation, calling it a “big mistake.”
“They didn’t realize what that show was and what it could do,” Kravitz told Elle magazine.
“The amount of letters, DMs, people on the street and women that look like us — like, that love for the show, it meant something to people. It was a big mistake.”
Last month, Page Six broke the news that Kravitz was engaged to Styles, 32, after eight months of dating.
Sources told us that the “Watermelon Sugar” singer and the actress are already planning two weddings and have talked about starting a family together.
