When it comes to eyeliner, “Euphoria” makeup artist Donni Davy isn’t just winging it.
The beauty pro helped put the HBO show on the map with her oft-replicated eye makeup — but thanks to the viral Half Magic Wing Magician Guide, you needn’t be a pro to achieve the same effect.
“Applying precision eyeliner and getting perfectly angled, crisp, sharp wings can be hard for even the pros,” Davy told Page Six Style of her brand’s soft, dishwasher-safe silicone tool, which acts as a ruler to help you draw the perfect wing.

She also keeps the Half Magic Flik Eraser — a makeup remover pen designed for tiny touch-ups — on hand on set to make stars’ wings “as sharp as humanly possible.”
“I used to use tiny sharp Q-tips with oil-free micellar water to clean up, sharpen and perfect winged liner, but now I use [the pen] — perhaps the most important thing in my makeup bag and all of my actor bags on set!” she said.

If the Season 3 premiere has you wanting to try out Maddy’s famous eyeliner — or any of the other iconic looks Davy’s created over the years — you might also want to invest in the brand’s Wing Hack Set. It includes both the eraser and wing tool, along with the ultra-precise Magic Flik eyeliner.
To figure out whether the unique products were a fit for the untrained eye (er, the untrained eyeliner applier), Page Six Style’s shopping team tested them out ourselves. Read on for our full thoughts, but —spoiler alert — we were downright euphoric about these tools.
Our review

“Despite being someone who never feels fully dressed without a cat eye, I’ll be the first to admit that getting those wings perfectly symmetrical can be challenging. Enter this nifty silicone tool, essentially a stencil to help you get that flawless flick. While there was some trial and error involved at the start — mostly involving proper placement of the tool against my lash line — I found it a breeze to use after the first or second try.
“I’ve now used the Wing Magician at least five times, and can confirm it’s made my morning eye makeup routine both faster and easier. It’s a real game changer, and I can see it being especially helpful for eyeliner newbies and folks with mobility issues. Pro tip: Keep a firm grip on the guide and make sure it’s sitting completely flush against your skin before you start drawing on your liner; that’ll ensure a crisp wing.” — Elana Fishman, Page Six Style & Shopping Director

“As someone who loves the winged eyeliner look — but not how many attempts it takes me to nail it — I was eager to try out Davy’s tools. I can now confidently say the wing guide and the Flik Eraser are going to be permanent parts of my routine. I’ve been experimenting with winged eyeliner so much more since they came into my life, and it’s produced a symmetrical wing every time — no smudging or frustration. I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about these!” — Hannah Southwick, Page Six Associate Shopping Editor
