The unexpected way Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi coped with cervical cancer diagnosis

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi reveals she “panicked, cried,” and then “went to Short Hills Mall” in New Jersey before turning to TikTok to help her get “cozy” with her cervical cancer diagnosis.

The “Jersey Shore” star, 38, told Page Six Radio hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy that she “spent thousands” at the shopping center during her retail therapy session.

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna die. Let me go to Short Hills Mall. I just swiped the card and I spent a lot of money. And I felt good,” she explained.

After going on her luxury spending spree, she then took to social media looking for answers.

“When I got the diagnosis, I was like, ‘Am I dying? Like, what is going on?’ I feel like I couldn’t talk to anyone about it because I don’t know anyone that’s dealing with that. So, I literally went to TikTok right away,” she shared.

The reality star recalled looking up “stage 1 cervical cancer” on the social media platform and finding testimonies from other women dealing with the illness.

“There were so many videos coming up that were just people telling what they’re going through and what they have to do, and how hysterectomies — when they got the surgery — how they felt after. So, it was kind of making me feel cozy about it, in a way,” she remembered.

“I was like, I feel like there’s got to be a platform for people to know about this because I feel like it’s so common. Get your pap smears, girls.”

Polizzi announced her stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis in February, sharing a positive outlook on her illness despite the negative news.

“Everything is going to be fine. I’m going to tackle this and get it done. We got some steps to do,” she said in her video.

In April, Polizzi revealed that she’ll be undergoing a hysterectomy to address her adenocarcinoma.

“I’m not great with pain, so thinking about removing an organ is scary,” she told People on Thursday, speaking about the forthcoming surgical removal of her uterus.

“That’s a part of being a woman and even though I’m done having kids, the thought of not being able to really upset me,” said Polizzi, who shares kids Lorenzo Dominic, 13, Giovanna Marie, 11, and Angelo James, 6, with husband Jionni LaValle.
