Carmen Electra Reacts to Baywatch Reboot, Shares Cast Advice

Carmen Electra is ready to suit back up.

With the reboot of Baywatch currently in production, the 54-year-old, who played Lani McKenzie on season eight of the original series, teased whether she’s going to make any appearances on the beaches of Los Angeles.

“You never know,” she told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the June 3 premiere of Scary Movie 6, during which she does make a cameo. “I mean, Scary Movie, possibly Baywatch.”

As for any advice she has for this next generation of lifeguards, Carmen said the biggest advantage is to “always be ready.”

“It’s a lot of hard work,” she continued.  “So, you just want to be in tip-top shape before you step out there, period. And work on your swimming techniques. Because it’s hard. It’s not an easy job.”

In fact, the Meet the Spartans alum remembers working under the tutelage of a real-life lifeguard that came in to direct some episodes of the series.
