Netflix’s new documentary “Marty, Life is Short” spans the life and career of Martin Short, including the comedian’s thoughts on his one-season stint on “SNL” — and a string of family tragedies starting at a young age. His eldest daughter, Katherine, 42, died by suicide this year. The doc also included interviews with Short’s famous pals: Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, Eugene Levy, Andrea Martin, and Catherine O’Hara, who passed away in January at the age of 71.
