Anthony Michael Hall gushes over finding his ‘soulmate,’ becoming a first-time dad in his 50s
Anthony Michael Hall has found his “soulmate” in wife Lucia Oskerova and “couldn’t be happier” with their new lives as parents.
“Fatherhood and being a husband—that’s absolutely the greatest role,” Hall – who became a father at age 55 in 2023 — told People in an interview published Saturday.
“It’s a full-time job … but we love it. We just embrace it, and our son such a joy.”
The “Breakfast Club” star, now 58, continued: “We started him in preschool about six months ago. He’s doing great. He’s eating so much— I mean, this kid is like a little giant. He looks like he’s 5 years old already. But we’re having a great time. It’s incredible.”
Hall and his wife welcomed their son, a baby boy named Michael Anthony Hall II, on June 1, 2023.
“That first month of parenting is pretty wild,” he told People at the time. “It’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time.”
“Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep,” Hall continued, going on to call his then 1-month-old a “big boy.”
“I couldn’t be happier 1785005304,” he gushed. “Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed. I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in.”
The couple announced Oskerova’s pregnancy in February of that year when she was nearly seven months along.
Hall documented his partner’s pregnancy via Instagram, telling his followers in March of that year how “proud” he was of the former model.
Hall and the actress, 35, began their relationship in 2016. The “Sixteen Candles” star eventually popped the question to his now-wife three years later while vacationing in Italy.
The duo walked down the aisle in 2020.
In 2023, he and his wife renewed their vows after their wedding plans were thrown off due to the pandemic.
