Alex Cooper wants her daddy gang to band together.
Amid her rumored rift with Alix Earle, the Call Her Daddy podcast host revealed that misogyny on social media prompted her to delete the TikTok app off her phone—and her guest Tana Mangeau admitted to having a similar experience with sexism online.
“Society wants a woman to shut the f–k up so badly,” Tana said on the May 13 episode of the show, “and we have to band together as women and double and triple and quadruple down on the fact that no, we’re not.”
Alex agreed, noting she has had similar conversations with Michelle Obama, Shonda Rimes, Kerry Washington and the late Jane Goodall, who told her, “We all know this, and now what?”
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out in my own journey,” the 31-year-old continued. “We’re all aware of the double standard. We’re all aware of how we love to pit women against women and how it’s such an easy narrative. So why is nothing changing?”
And after Tana shared that she limits her exposure to short-form content like TikTok videos because of its negativity against women, Alex admitted, “I deleted the app.”
