“Our business can present very stressful situations,” Holland recently detailed to Esquire, “and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time.”

Not only does it make their performances that much better—”The truth is that she raises the game,” he told E! News in July. “She’s the type of actress where every scene is better when she’s in it”—it makes navigating the tangled webs of the industry a bit easier. 

“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life,” the 30-year-old explained to Esquire of the benefits of sharing similar job titles. “I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”

It’s a sentiment he’ll no doubt repeat when he recognizes his bride’s milestone 30th birthday Sept. 1. 

“She’s my best friend,” he stressed to Esquire, “and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her.”
