Steven Tyler Whitehead identified as main suspect in Kimber Mills shooting
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Steven Tyler Whitehead has been named as the main suspect in the recent shooting that took place around midnight during a bonfire on Sunday. Police stated that Whitehead stormed into the bonfire site, which was located on the 900 block of Highway 75 North in Pinson, Alabama, and opened fire on a group of young people gathered at the site. Steven shot a total of four individuals during the attack, including Kimber Mills, a 21-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman. Mills sustained a gunshot wound to the head, and paramedics rushed her to the University of Alabama Hospital. She was initially placed on life support, but hours later, she was taken off and declared dead.

Steven Tyler has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a $180,000 bond. However, authorities confirmed that they will upgrade the charges to murder after Kimber Mills was taken off life support.
Motive behind the shootings
As of now, investigators have not yet released an official motive for the shooting, but early reports suggest that a personal dispute may have led to the violence after Kimber tried to hit on a girl and give her a spiked drink with her refusing his advances. Witnesses at the scene claim that Whitehead arrived armed and agitated at the scene before firing multiple rounds into the crowd.
