Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has stirred reactions online after admitting that his much-talked-about boxing match with Kelvin Power was staged for content.
The singer made the revelation after reportedly meeting Kelvin again, clarifying that the viral fight was not a genuine contest but a planned performance.
“I didn’t b£at you sir, we just did content together during our last box!ng match, who am I that I’ll beat someone like you in a b0xing ring?” Portable said.
The boxing match, which went viral at the time, initially showed Portable being declared the winner after knocking Kelvin Power down in the ring, despite the obvious size difference between both men.
However, subsequent revelations from both parties have suggested that the fight was orchestrated for entertainment purposes. Reports indicate that the bout was arranged to generate attention and engagement, with Portable later admitting he could not realistically defeat Kelvin in a real fight.
The latest statement has reignited conversations on social media, with many Nigerians reacting to the growing trend of staged celebrity boxing matches used to create viral content.
