A second man has been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old man who was shot in Sydney’s west on Friday morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting on Carinya Street, Blacktown at around 11.50am on Friday, and found Mal Seve, 28, with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and leg.

Seve was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

A black Mazda ute allegedly fled the scene, and was pursued by police before it crashed on nearby Kildare Road. Two men, aged 18 and 25, allegedly ran from the scene but were arrested a short time later.

The 18-year-old was charged with murder two days ago. He was also charged with taking and driving a vehicle without the consent of its owner, driving dangerously, and failing to stop for police.
