Perez Hilton suffered broken bones during the night of his tragic suicide attempt.

“The cutting, a couple of falls that happened during this process,” Tom, who is married to the blogger’s sister, Barbara Lavandeira, revealed on the “Perez Hilton Podcast with Chris Booker” podcast Monday.

Tom shared that “up until about 48 hours or so ago from this recording, [Hilton] was being treated for physical issues.”

“So, we are now just transitioning into the mental side of things,” he shared.

“Although, of course, while he’s in the hospital, while he’s being treated for his physical ailments, psychiatrists come in and check in and see how he’s doing and make sure he’s not looking to harm himself.”

Tom said the “actual healing, or digging into what caused this mental break” hasn’t been discovered.

“I don’t know if it will ever be,” he said.

When asked if Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., remembered the Aug. 4 incident or understood what happened, the media personality’s brother-in-law said he has dug into it because he doesn’t “want to trigger any anxiety” for him.

“I wanted him to really focus on his physical ailments … actual recovery of the lacerations and the bones,” Tom shared.

Tom said he hopes Hilton will be reunited with his three children, Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8, soon “with the advice of psychiatric help.”

Earlier this month, Hilton (seen above) livestreamed as he harmed himself.

Earlier this month, Hilton, 48, began to harm himself while on a livestream at his Miami-area home.

During the video, the columnist continuously cut himself with a knife and was covered in blood.

At the time, Hilton’s sister, niece and his children fled his home as the media personality began experiencing a severe mental health crisis.

In a statement, Hilton’s family said he remained hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act and that his “condition remains serious but stable.”

“He experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days,” they said. “His treatment and recovery will be a long process.”

In addition to being treated for the cuts and broken bones, Hilton was also treated for an overdose at the hospital.

Last week, Hilton was granted supervised visitation with his three children; however, the visits must be supervised by a therapist or a family member “agreed upon by both sides.”
