Ozzy Osbourne Movie: Son Jack Osbourne Teases Script, Director, Actor

Ozzy Osbourne‘s biopic is rocking and rolling toward production.

His son Jack Osbourne—who is working with mom Sharon Osbourne and sister Aimée Osbourne to produce the film—shared the movie’s latest updates, including how close they are to securing a lead actor to play his father.

“Script, done. We’re currently going out to directors. It’s gung ho,” Jack told E! News’ Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview, adding in regards to having a star in mind to play Ozzy, “We do.” 

“I’m not allowed to say, but conversations have been had,” Jack revealed. “If it all works out, it’s gonna be awesome.”

And with those developments underway, the 40-year-old is optimistic about how soon they can begin shooting.

As Jack put it, “In a perfect world we’d like to be shooting spring, summer of next year.” 

Indeed, the highly-anticipated project—which Jack says is “really relationship-focused between my mother and father”—is coming together after Ozzy’s death at age 76 in July 2025. As such, the creative team has been able to figure out how their film will be different from other features of famous musicians.
