Comments Off on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Madame Tussauds wax figures get pointed update as UK return looms

Talk about a royal welcome.

Madame Tussauds hilariously placed suitcases and a Royal Guard wax figure next to their wax figures of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle inside their museum in London, England.

The pointed update comes days after Page Six confirmed that the couple will be returning to the UK at the end of the month for “an extended period.”

Fans in the comments section loved the additions made by the famed exhibit on Friday.

“Love this for them,” one wrote, with another adding, “No place like home 🙌.”

A third commented, “What an excellent move.”

However, others voiced their dismay over the couple’s move back to England, six years after stepping away from their duties as “senior” members of the royal family and moving to Montecito, California.

“I’m sure the UK is going to welcome these 2 failures back with open arms,” one netizen sarcastically commented.

Another social media user labeled the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “grifters.”

Since Harry and Markle’s move was made public, fellow stars have been questioning their intentions since the couple openly spoke out against the royal family in the years following their move to the US.

Don Lemon poked fun at the their shocking decision in a Wednesday Instagram video.

“What? What is going on here?” the journalist asked his followers while highlighting headlines about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell choice.

“Come on, make up y’all’s mind,” he quipped.

Meghan McCain also ripped into the “D-list royals” after the announcement.

“One thing about Americans is we can see through bulls–t and we don’t like entitled grifters,” the former “View” host tweeted.

“They could never hack it here and truly no one gives a s–t about D-list royals,” she added. “Good luck to our friends in the UK, they’re your problem now.”

Additionally, some of Harry and Markle’s Montecito neighbors exclusively told Page Six that they are “thrilled” the two are moving back to his homeland.

“Montecito is a very private, peaceful place, and I think a lot of people here will be happy to see things go back to being a little quieter,” the source explained.

On Wednesday, sources told us that “the palace was made aware of the move” and that Harry’s father, King Charles III, “is the reason they are moving back,” as he is currently battling cancer.

Our source added that while Charles “looks forward” to spending more time with his son and daughter-in-law, their role and status as private individuals and “non-working members” of the royal family will not change.

Charles, notably, is strict about upholding his late mother Queen Elizabeth II’s rule of “no half-in, half-out option” for working royals.

We are also told that the two will live in “a non-royal residence,” where they will “continue with their business enterprises.”

On Friday, Page Six learned that Markle is eyeing a return to acting once they start their life in the UK.
