Eddie Murphy Shares His Son Eric and Martin Lawrence’s Daughter Jasmin Welcomed First Baby
Martin Lawrence is embracing his grandpa era.
Days after Eddie Murphy confirmed his son Eric Murphy had welcomed a baby girl, Ari Skye, with Martin’s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, the Big Momma’s House star celebrated his new role during a recent stop on his comedy tour.
“I’m a grandpa!” Martin excitedly told the audience in an Instagram video posted by Loni Love on April 20. “Me and Eddie Murphy share a grandchild!”
The fact that both of Ari’s grandfathers are comedians and actors also wasn’t lost on Martin. As the 61-year-old put it, “That baby is going to be funny as s–t.”
Loni, 54, was equally as thrilled for her friend, writing in the caption of her video, “Last week we got the news on the road that @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 had the boo boo ! Martin was beyond thrilled, and we all felt the excitement!”
“Check out his reaction when he announced it to the audience!” The Real alum added. “Best wishes to both families and welcome to the world Ari Skye!”
