Jason Kelce looks unrecognizable in throwback photos without his signature beard

Jason Kelce looked unrecognizable without his signature scruffy beard in a throwback photo from his college football days.
The retired NFL star shared several photos of himself without facial hair while playing ball with the University of Cincinnati during Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
“I just hate the way my face looks without a beard,” he told his co-host and brother, Travis Kelce.
Sharing a photo of himself talking to his teammates in a huddle on the field, Jason questioned, “Is that what I look like when I’m yelling? Is that how it always looks?”
The former Philadelphia Eagles star detailed his former grooming techniques, focusing on his thinner eyebrows.
“That was back when I used to just take my razor, and that’s how I trim my eyebrows,” he said.
“I would just go straight across my eyebrows. So they ended up being super thin and not having any shape.”
Travis laughed at his brother’s candid confession, claiming he “would’ve never guessed,” adding, “But they are definitely way thinner than what they are now.”
As for Travis, he admitted to trying to shave his chest back in college.
“It grew back so fast,” the Kansas City Chiefs star continued, later confessing, “I tried to wax it after that.”
The NFL star, however, ended up with his chest “bloody and patchy” with scabs.
“So I just gave up,” Travis continued.
Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, meanwhile, recently shared that it would “freak” her out if she saw her husband without his beard.
“I’ve never met his chin, I’ve never seen his chin in person,” the former soccer star shared on her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast last month.
“We’ve never met. Rumor has it that there’s a little bit of the butt chin under there. I don’t know though; I’ve never met it. That’d be kind of fun to find out.”
Kylie stated her and Jason’s daughters — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 1 — would not recognize him if he shaved.
“I think that at least one of them would cry. I’m banking on three of them, but at least one, for sure,” she said.
The couple met in 2014, about four years after Jason had graduated college. They wed in 2018.
