Hayden Panettiere appeared to still be in the throes of addiction just three months ago as she desperately tried to reset her life, we’re told.

In May, the “Nashville” actress was visiting her hit show’s namesake town to promote her memoir, “This Is Me.”

Sources told Page Six that while there, she was allegedly seeking out whippets and booze with an insider claiming she attempted to have nitrous oxide delivered to her hotel, only to be denied.

Security at the hotel, located in downtown Nashville, allegedly “stopped a [delivery service] order to her hotel room, which was several industrial grade nitrous oxide cans that she was planning on huffing,” a source familiar with the situation told Page Six.

Another source confirmed the incident, explaining, “She had alcohol and whippits delivered. They wouldn’t allow it up to her room.”

Our source added Panettiere was only “there for a day,” and she “wasn’t happy” about them refusing her delivery.

Her rep and friend, Kasey Kitchen, slammed the incident as “false.”

“She was in Nashville for a short amount of time and slept for most of it.  She also had private security with her,” the rep said.

On May 20, Kitchen and Panettiere appeared in a pre-taped interview on “Tamron Hall Show,” two days before her promo tour stop in Nashville.

Sources familiar with her conversation with Hall told Page Six, Panettiere “was focused on resetting her life.” Kitchen was by her side because the two had struck up a genuine friendship outside of her representing her as her publicist. “[Kitchen] was someone Hayden could trust,” a source said.

“It seemed that she really felt wronged by so many people, and — with that — she was focused on resetting her life,” the insider said.

Panettiere addressed her addiction with Hall, revealing the first time an adult handed her “happy pills” at 16, moments before she walked a red carpet. She also explained what led her to enter a treatment facility in 2020.

“When I got to the point of looking in the mirror and seeing my eyes had turned yellow, and that I didn’t recognize my body anymore and I went into that doctor’s office and got a blood test, and he told me ‘If you don’t stop, you’re going to be looking at a liver transplant,’” Panettiere explained.

Hall replied: “So, you’re 30 years old, and the doctor’s telling you, ‘You’re 30 years old, Hayden. You will not live to see 35.’”

Panettiere clarified, “Yeah, [the doctor said], ‘If you do not stop immediately.’ And, I was like, ‘I can’t do that to me,’ and if I can’t do it for myself, I’m going to do it for my child.”

Panettiere lost her battle to addiction on Sunday. She died of an apparent drug overdose after being found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest in a Greenville, South Carolina, Airbnb. Panettiere was 36.

The actress was with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach, at the time of her death.

TMZ reported that Zach found her unresponsive in a chair as Brian was asleep in another room. Zach was seen out for the first time in Greenville, South Carolina, on Tuesday, while Brian was spotted on Wednesday.

The outlet also reported that there is an investigation into the “Remember the Titans” star’s death, though police initially said a preliminary investigation did not indicate “any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.”
