A staunchly independent pub with a surprisingly good bistro.
This must be the last non-refurbished pub in Surry Hills and you either like the grunge hipster atmosphere and look or you don’t. The staunchly independent, self-proclaimed “loosest brumby in the Sydney pub scene” is a crossroads for just about every demographic imaginable, often all clambering for a seat in the vape-fragrant sardine can of a beer garden. You’d be hard-pressed to find a local with a more devout clientele, and the recent addition of neo-bistro Chez Crix has ushered in a new wave of fans.
Best for: Rough and ready good times.
