Ciara Miller reveals what she found ‘very telling’ about Amanda Batula, West Wilson statement

Ciara Miller thought it was “very telling” that Amanda Batula and West Wilson didn’t say each other’s names in their Instagram statement where they confirmed their romance.

Miller broke her silence on the “Summer House” scandal on Friday, telling Glamour that she read the bombshell statement “with the rest of the world” when it was posted on March 31.

“There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don’t know,” Miller said of her ex-BFF and ex-boyfriend.

The model also revealed that she got a short heads-up about the pair’s planned statement.

“Less than 24 hours. One [notification] was about 45 minutes before,” she told the outlet.

Photos obtained by Page Six showed Miller, 30, slumped on the ground against a Hermès store on the streets of New York City minutes after Batula, 34, and Wilson, 31, posted their statement.

She was comforted by an unidentified male, who crouched down and held her by the arms.

In their joint statement last month, Batula and Wilson avoided mentioning each other’s names — and Miller’s — as they confirmed their secret relationship.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” the pair wrote.

“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” they continued. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

The Bravo stars said that their “connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship” and explained that they took time to go public their relationship because they wanted to “approach this with care.”

The duo also appeared to be referring to Miller when they said they “recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless.”

Before the Glamour story, Miller shared cryptic social media uploads about “loyalty,” the value of “sisterhood” and more, without directly addressing the scandal.

Meanwhile, Batula and Wilson hit up a bar, went on a double date, and enjoyed a movie date night in New York City over the weekend.

Miller called Batula and Wilson’s relationship a “mindf–k” and said she feels more betrayed by Batula.

“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she said of Wilson, whom she dated in 2023. “Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man.”

Miller added of her former bestie, “I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”

Before the outings, Batula told her Instagram followers that she was ready to “start living life again” and promised to address the scandal at the upcoming “Summer House” Season 10 reunion.

Miller, for her part, confirmed to Glamour that she’ll be at the reunion, but that she’s “nervous” for the sit-down.

“The reunions are always mental warfare,” she said. “Filming a reality TV show and then sitting at a reunion eight months later is not normal. It’s not real life; it’s having to remember everything you said or give a reason for why you said everything you said.”

“I know I’m filming a reality TV show, but I don’t think that you recognize the impact that you have on people, and maybe how much they see themselves in you,” she went on. “When I first came on the show, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to be the first Black person on this show.’ The showrunner at the time was like, ‘Well, maybe don’t overthink it.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, a white guy telling me not to overthink it. Okay.’ But to turn the corner six years later and have so much support from everyone, it’s really sweet. It makes me feel like I didn’t just spend my 20s on this TV show for nothing.”

As for her future on TV, Miller is a bit more apprehensive.

“I don’t necessarily see myself raising my kids on reality TV, or doing that chapter of my life on reality TV once I do settle down. But it’s really great for me right now as a single girl living in New York City,” she explained to the outlet. “But I want to be clear: I’m always grateful and thankful for reality TV. I feel like I’ve met my greatest friends from reality TV. And it’s truly taught me so much about myself and who I am and what I can endure. It’s made me change in the best of ways. It’s given me the confidence that I have here today and some of the greatest moments of my life. I wouldn’t have been able to buy my grandparents’ house if it weren’t for reality TV, so I’m really thankful for it.”

But as for being the next Bachelorette, she quipped: “F–k no. I’m way too private.”
