“Love on the Spectrum” couple Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman have reportedly parted ways after nearly five years together.
“Sadly, it’s true that David and Abbey broke up,” an insider told the US Sun Thursday.
“They couldn’t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago, he still needed time.”
Another source shared that Isaacman was “doing very well.”
Reps for Isaacman, 31, and Romeo, 27, weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The exes met on Season 1 of the Netflix series in 2021, which shows adults with autism diving into the dating pool.
Viewers watched Isaacman and Romeo fall in love after going on their first date at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
Most recently, the duo celebrated their fourth anniversary in July 2025, and Isaacman gifted Romeo a diamond bracelet from Brilliant Earth.
Despite allegedly calling it quits over a marital disagreement, Romeo told producers during Season 4 of the series, which was released on April 1, that she and Isaacman weren’t ready to tie the knot.
“We already feel like we’re already married in our hearts,” she explained, per People.
Romeo candidly admitted that she fears being divorced like her parents and didn’t want to “rush” down the aisle.
However, the TV personality told her mom Christine that she wanted “to be a bride so badly.”
At one point in the season, co-stars Madison Marilla and Tyler White got engaged, to which Romeo told Isaacman, “Hopefully we’re next!”
“We can only be engaged whenever the time is right,” Isaacman responded.
Romeo has previously opened up about her relationship with Isaacman, stating that they bonded over their shared conditions of autism and synesthesia, which “is a phenomenon that causes sensory crossovers, such as tasting colors or feeling sounds,” per the Cleveland Clinic.
“We understand each other [and] the way our minds work,” she told “Today” in 2025. “We’re kind and patient with each other and we’re our true selves.”
The reality star also wrote a heartfelt song about Isaacman last year, titled “Boyfriend Forever,” singing, “You understand me, remind me to breathe / Being with you is easy, you’re just who I need … I wanna be your girlfriend forever / Will you be my boyfriend?
