Adrian Grenier poked fun at getting dropped from “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in a new ad for Starbucks.

The actor, 49, stars in a new commercial for the coffee chain’s Energy Refresher drinks and addressed not being asked to reprise his role as Nate Cooper.

“You might have seen the headlines — I wasn’t asked to be part of a certain sequel,” Grenier says, looking directly at the camera. “But I’m good. Really. It’s all good energy.”

He then toasted to Nate — main character Andy Sachs’ chef boyfriend in the original 2006 film — who some fans criticized as the actual villain of the movie for being unsupportive of Andy.

“He made a mean sandwich, he loved his girlfriend, to a point,” he says, referring to the grilled cheese Nate made for Andy in a memorable scene.

“He wasn’t perfect,” Grenier adds. “So let’s leave Nate in 2006, and keep this good energy going.”

He later jokes, “I mean if they call, I’m free.”

Grenier spoke to Page Six last month about not appearing in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” alongside Anne Hathaway (who plays Andy), and he theorized that the “backlash” to his character got him snubbed from the sequel.

The “Entourage” alum told us he “of course” would have loved to participate in the second movie, which hits theaters on May 1.

“We’re all fans of the movie, whether or not we’re in it,” he said. “Obviously, it was a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand there’s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it.”

“But I think that just leaves room for a spinoff,” he added.

Grenier told People last month that he would love to see Nate’s story continued.

Grenier has also defended his character, telling People last month, “I’ve re-watched that film a bunch of times, and it feels like they [Nate and Andy] were both just working really hard to make it in their careers.” He’s seen here with Hathaway at “The Devil Wears Prada” NYC premiere in June 2006. “I do think it would be fun to see if Nate is actually the devil in ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’” he said. “I’d like to see him, see what his character does, beyond, as a spinoff movie.”

He also defended Nate’s actions in the movie, like breaking up with Andy when she missed his birthday dinner due to prioritizing the demands of her boss, Runway Magazine editor Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep).

“I don’t look to a birthday as a big meaningful thing, but agreements, I do,” he explained. “If someone makes a commitment, I do take it seriously that the commitment gets upheld. So, it’s not so much about the birthday per se.”

“I can understand the sentiment, but I have to stand for my character,” Grenier also shared. “I’ve re-watched that film a bunch of times, and it feels like they were both just working really hard to make it in their careers.”
