Northam-Hillier combination with triple shot at Warren

The trainer and jockey combination of Rodney Northam and apprentice Chelsea Hillier will be out in force at Warren on Sunday.

Hillier has no allowance on country tracks and will link with Northam for three mounts at the Warren meeting that features the $37,000 Commonwealth Bank Regional & Agribusiness Cotton Cup (1600m).

The Northam-trained Bawnaglen will open the day for Hillier when it lines up in the Peter Bill Australia Maiden Handicap (1400m).

Bawnaglen is a four-year-old gelding by Headwater and has had seven starts for two minor placings. He resumed from a spell with a third placing at Scone before finishing fifth behind the talented Regal Problem at his latest start.

Supido filly Don’t Say Do will go around for Northam and Hillier in the Queensland Cotton Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1200m).

Don’t Say Do is lightly raced, having debuted with an eighth at Tamworth in April. She was spelled after that run and has since had a barrier trial before resuming with a fifth of six at Scone.

The final runner of the Northam trio will be This One Time, which Hillier will partner in the Elders Warren Benchmark 58 Handicap (1000m).

This One Time is resuming from a spell on the back of a third in a barrier trial at Scone on October 29.

A four-year-old mare by Alabama Express, This One Time won two in a row at Tamworth and Dubbo in April and May. She’s also got two second placings to her name from eight starts.
