Amelia Dimoldenberg Announces End of Chicken Shop Date

Amelia Dimoldenberg is locking up the chicken shop. 

More than a decade after premiering Chicken Shop Date, the journalist confirmed that her YouTube series was officially coming to an end.

“When I was 17 I had a fantastic idea that I might meet the love of my life on a date in a chicken shop,” Dimoldenberg teased on Instagram Sept. 3. “I’ve spent my entire twenties sitting across from the most incredible people, people I’d always dreamt of meeting. All of them charmed me (some more than others) and I definitely charmed them.”

After starting her interview series with the underground British rap scene in 2014, it was her viral date with Jack Harlow in 2021 that put her at the top of the menu. She went on to chat with celebs like Andrew Garfield, Sabrina Carpenter, The Jonas Brothers, Matty Healy and Elmo.

“To me, the show is my very own romcom and I have loved creating so many stories for you to watch,” she reflected. “I am so grateful to everyone who has followed me on this journey and found some joy in these episodes.”
