Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez decided to tie the knot in their living room to create an “intimate” memory with their kids.

“We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here, where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives,” the model told Vogue in an interview published Sunday.

Speaking to the outlet just days before their whirlwind wedding, she added, “In 30 years’ time I want the children to think, ‘Something wonderful happened at this table—the wedding vows of our parents.’”

“It probably won’t be the same table,” Ronaldo, 41, comically interjected. “We might change the decor.”

Ronaldo and Rodríguez, 32, said “I do” on Aug. 10, which marked the 10th anniversary of the day they met when the latter worked at a Gucci store in Madrid.

“In the future we will have a big wedding, so we can celebrate with family and friends,” Rodríguez shared elsewhere in the interview.

Rodríguez explained how it’s been a “crazy year” filled with “work commitments, competitions, kids,” and how she didn’t want their anniversary to go uncelebrated.

“When I was a little girl,” she said, “I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no.”

“I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home,” Rodríguez continued. “Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate—that’s more unusual for us.”

Following the ceremony, Rodríguez reached out to Vogue, writing in a message, “It was exactly as I’d imagined it. Intimate, full of love, and with our family in the most important starring role. I couldn’t hold back the tears.”

Rodríguez and the Al-Nassr forward got engaged in August 2025. The couple announced the news with sweet photos of themselves and Rodríguez’s massive 37-carat ring.

“Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” the post was captioned.

Ronaldo is the father of a 16-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., with an unknown woman. He also welcomed 9-year-old twins, Eva and Mateo, via surrogacy in 2017.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez later welcomed daughters Alana, 8, and Bella, 4. Tragically, Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, died at birth.

During an emotional interview on her docuseries, “I Am Georgina,” Rodríguez got candid about the “best and worst moment of [her] life in an instant.”

“My priority right now is my family and my children,” she said. “I’m so happy and so thankful.”

Rodríguez added, “Life goes on. I have reasons to move on and be strong.”
