Emma Roberts walked down the aisle in a custom-made Monique Lhuillier vintage-inspired dress during her wedding to Cody John.

The “American Horror Story” star donned a silk chiffon off-white, tea-stained effect gown while saying “I do” in Sun Valley, Idaho, on Saturday.

“I kind of wanted to look like a ghost — a little antique ghost doll,” she told Vogue at a final dress fitting with her bridesmaids ahead of the nuptials.

“I didn’t really know what I wanted,” Roberts, 35, said, explaining how she and Lhuillier designed the dress from the bottom up.

The dress was made with silk chiffon to give it an “ethereal, romantic, and vintage-inspired” effect with a custom color later named by Lhuillier as “antique rose.”

The actress also built in a corset and high slit alongside the left side of her leg for more free movement.

For a final touch, Lhuillier and Roberts added a detachable asymmetrical shawl that the latter was able to remove after the ceremony for a strapless look.

The “We’re the Millers” star wore a traditional sheer veil and a mini Old Hollywood-style one, long enough to cover her eyes, and with the ability to be pushed back like a headband.

“I just knew that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired. I’m obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting, and I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress,” she said.

The “Aquamarine” star admitted that she felt pressured while working on the dress, especially after having worn a wedding gown in a past movie.

“I’ve been married in a movie before, and I tried out wedding dresses for that, which feels so weird,” Roberts told the outlet. “So now, it’s the real deal.”

Lhuillier told Vogue that the dress took 1,000 hours and nine months to complete, explaining that there are “five looks” in the dress.

When Roberts first tried on the gown, she felt like an “elfin fairy,” saying, “I said I wanted to like look like a ghost and they made it beautiful.”

When the “Nancy Drew” star showed her bridal party the dress, including her mom, Kelly Cunningham, the latter burst out in tears.

“Are you serious?” one pal asked the bride in a video published by Vogue.

Roberts theorized that John was going to get emotional when he saw her, saying, “He loves anything I love. He wouldn’t care if I wore jeans.”

“I just knew that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired. I’m obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting, and I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress,” she told the outlet. BACKGRID

Lhuillier also designed Roberts a second black corset tea-length two-piece set, consisting of a hand-cut layered skirt, from her 2004 fall collection

“I love the idea of wearing black for the afterparty,” Roberts told the outlet. “We love doing something that’s a little unexpected. This looks like it could be totally vintage from 100 years ago, or from now. This is going to be so fun in Idaho at the afterparty.”

Roberts and John, who got engaged in July 2024, said “I do” at his family estate. John wore a classic tux for the special occasion.
