The Pitt Confirms Season 3 Cast As Production Begins
TV’s most trusted doctors are reporting for duty.
The Pitt has officially resumed filming two months after the HBO Max drama’s cliffhanger season two finale aired in April.
“Badging in,” the streamer wrote on X June 16, adding, “Production for Season 3 of #ThePitt has begun.”
In an accompanying video from the set, the emergency room security badges of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital staff are shown, confirming which fan-favorite characters are definitely returning for the new season.
Among the physicians swiping in for another 15-hour shift are Dr. Michael Robinavitch (Noah Wyle), charge nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa), Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi), Dr. Cassie McKay (Fiona Dourif), Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball), Dr. Melissa King (Taylor Deardon), Dr. Trinity Santos (Isa Briones), Dr. Dennis Whitaker (Gerran Howell) and Dr. Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez).
Plus, night shift staple Dr. Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy) and Dr. Parker Ellis (Ayesha Harris), who may be making the swap to the daytime team with Harris’ upgrade to series regular for season three.
However, the teaser shares just a glimpse at some of the ensemble cast members. After all, it doesn’t include supporting cast members like Kristin Villanueva (Princess), Amielynn Abellera (Pearlah) or Jalen Thoms Brooks (Mateo Diaz)—pulling double duty with his Off Campus responsibilities—who are expected to return.
