This stunt was a total air ball.

One man’s gamble had a major consequence at the Game 1 of the NBA finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonion Spurs on June 2, with the NBA officially doling out its punishment to the fan who ran onto the court to try and take a selfie with Victor “Wemby” Wembanyama.

“The individual who entered the court area during Game 1 of The Finals was arrested and will be banned for life from all NBA arenas,” an NBA spokesman said in a news release obtained by NBC News. “A second individual will also receive a lifetime ban for his role in the incident.”

The incident in question occurred with 6:28 left in the game’s fourth quarter, with the Knicks leading 92-86, bringing the neck-in-neck game to a screeching halt.

The man ran onto the court holding a cell phone in his hand, stopping in front of Wembanyama and Knicks center Mitchell Robinson and tried to take a selfie before being whisked away by two security guards.
