Amy Schumer reveals unexpected side effect of botched colonoscopy

Amy Schumer is “not feeling very sexual” after she underwent “a botched colonoscopy.”

The actress gave the health update during a recent “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast event, “Dear Media by Night,” noting she feels “happier than I’ve ever been before,” per US Weekly.

The 44-year-old has gone through many life changes in the last year, including her major weight loss transformation and her split from husband Chris Fischer.

In December 2025, Schumer told her Instagram followers she lost 50 pounds to deal with a hormonal disorder caused Cushing syndrome that she was diagnosed with in 2024.

Before that, Schumer confirmed she was taking weight-loss drug semaglutide after she tried Wegovy three years earlier and couldn’t stop puking.

“I couldn’t handle it,” she said in an Instagram video last March. “I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula. Whatever.”

The “Train Wreck” actress has also assured fans that her weight loss has nothing to do with the demise of her marriage to Fischer, 45.

The exes, who share 7-year-old son Gene, announced they were splitting up in December 2025 after almost eight years of marriage.

“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” Schumer captioned a lengthy Instagram post.

“We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time,” she added.

The “I Feel Pretty” star then filed for divorce from the pro chef this past January.

A source told Page Six, however, that the former couple were still living together for Gene despite their split.

“She expects that they’ll co-parent full-time together and that he’ll see Gene almost as much as he does now — if not more,” the insider said between the pair’s December 2025 breakup and January 2026 divorce filing. “They are still largely under the same roof, for the kid’s sake.”

The source also said Schumer “wants them to continue to be very much united when it comes to raising their son.”
