Alec Baldwin hits back at Elon Musk for criticizing Lupita Nyong’o’s looks

Alec Baldwin hit back at Elon Musk for criticizing Lupita Nyong’o’s looks after she was cast to play Helen of Troy in “The Odyssey.”

“Dear Elon… but she IS the most beautiful woman in the world…Alec,” the “30 Rock” alum, 68, wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the actress.

Baldwin’s remarks came days after conservative commentator Matt Walsh took to X to slam the decision to cast Nyong’o as the demigoddess, whose beauty sparked the Trojan War.

“Not one person on the planet actually thinks that Lupita Nyong’o is ‘the most beautiful woman in the world,’” Walsh tweeted May 12 of the forthcoming Christopher Nolan-directed film.

“But Christopher Nolan knows that he would be called racist if he gave ‘the most beautiful woman’ role to a white woman.

“Nolan is technically talented but a coward. Too afraid to do anything that even slightly challenges the spirit of the age,” he added.

Musk, 54, seconded Walsh’s opinion, writing, “True.”

When someone asked, “Why is Christopher Nolan like so many other directors so keen to race swap white characters?” the X owner responded, “He wants the awards.”

Musk added that Nolan has “lost his integrity” by casting the Oscar-winning actress, 43, in the role.

Earlier this month, Musk became incensed over rumors that trans actor Elliot Page had been cast as Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War.

The billionaire wrote on X that the idea was “one of the dumbest and twisted things I’ve ever heard.”

After it was announced that Page would actually portray the character Elpenor, Musk reposted a tweet that read, “I’m not mocking her masculinity. I’m denying its existence.”

Musk has a transgender daughter named Vivian, with whom he has been estranged for several years.

Nolan, 55, also faced backlash for casting rapper Travis Scott in the upcoming film.

However, the filmmaker defended the decision to add the “Sicko Mode” emcee, saying he cast Scott because he “wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap.”
