Blue Ivy Carter, 14, Makes Breathtaking Met Gala 2026 Debut Alongside Mom Beyoncé
Tina Knowles is crazy in love with her granddaughter’s Met Gala debut.
After Blue Ivy Carter, 14, attended the annual fundraising event with parents Beyonce and Jay-Z, the Matriarch author explained her emotional reaction watching her family step out for fashion’s biggest night.
“Oh, my god. I got really emotional, shed a few tears,” Tina said during her May 5 appearance on Today. “It was kind of reminiscent because Beyoncé started her first red carpet at 15. And Blue is 14 and so just seeing her out there looking confident and beautiful it just brought tears to my eyes.”
Emphasizing how much Blue reminds her of her superstar daughter, Tina added, “It was déjà vu.”
But Blue’s look—which featured a cream gown, matching jacket and sunglasses—wasn’t the only style moment that wowed Tina.
“Yu-Chi Lyra Kuo had on this white angelic dress that was my favorite,” Tina raved. “There were many that I loved but I love that one.”
Also among her favorite looks were Rihanna’s metallic Margiela gown as well as Anok Yai’s “fabulous” hooded Balenciaga dress.
