The 2026 Met Gala is sure to be a work of art.
As celebrities like Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and more prepare to make it up the Met steps May 4, Tommy Hilfiger shared a glimpse into what fans can expect.
As he recently teased to E! News, there will be “big surprises.”
After all, the “Costume Art” theme and “Fashion Is Art” dress code have left little to the imagination. Just ask stylist Law Roach.
“You’re always excited to see the way people interpret the theme and ‘Fashion as Art’ is a very broad theme,” he told E! in March. “So, maybe we’ll see someone dressed as the Mona Lisa, which I’m sure somebody will do.”
Plus, beyond the glitz and glam of the event, finding the perfect look to pack a punch on the Met steps is nerve-wracking.
“It’s a lot of stress and they’re only on the carpet for like five minutes,” he added, “and then you go in and it’s all over. So, it’s months and months of hard work for a five-minute payout.”
