Former University of Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore’s former assistant, Paige Shiver, claims he got her pregnant during their alleged years-long affair.

During an emotional interview with “Good Morning America” that aired Friday, the 32-year-old alleged that Moore and doctors urged her to terminate the pregnancy, which she did, due to complications involving Pompe Disease.

“Multiple doctors and experts told me that it wouldn’t be right or healthy for me to keep the baby,” Shiver told ABC News’ Linsey Davis.

She claimed that Moore told her, “You have to do what’s right for your body.”

Pompe Disease , according to the Cleveland Clinic, is a genetic condition that causes severe muscle weakness and wasting due to a complex sugar called glycogen building up in the lysosomes of the body’s cells.

Shiver and Moore, 40, allegedly began their affair when she was an intern in 2022. Two years later, she was promoted to be his executive assistant when he became head coach.

Moore is still married to his wife, Kelli. The couple tied the knot in 2015 and have three children.

Shiver told “GMA” that she thought she was in love with Moore during their alleged affair.

“Obviously, looking back at things and really reflecting on what happened, what was happening … it’s not love at all,” she said.

Shiver, noting the power difference in the pair’s relationship, also noted that Moore had “complete control” over her and “could fire” her at any second.

“Every time I tried to pull away, every time I tried to get out of even Michigan, he always had a story, always had a way to pull me in … in making me feel that I couldn’t leave him because he was so miserable without me,” she explained.

Shiver eventually reported Moore to the University of Michigan, which led to his firing on Dec. 10, 2025.

Moore was then arrested and taken into custody after barging into Shiver’s home, grabbing her butter knives and scissors and threatening to use them to kill himself.

“All of a sudden I hear footsteps, and they’re getting closer and louder … I run to my door to lock in, and he barges in,” she recalled.

“He said, ‘You ruined my life. Why would you do this too?’” she claimed. “And I started backing up, and he starts following me.”

Moore was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and fined $1,000 after pleading no contest to two misdemeanors. He initially faced up to five years in prison on home invasion and stalking charges.

Shiver told Davis that she thinks Moore “should have gotten more punishment for what he did.”

In a statement to ABC News, Moore’s attorney, Ellen Michaels, said, “Sherrone Moore has closed this chapter.”

Page Six has reached out to Moore’s lawyer for additional comment.

Two weeks after his firing, Moore was replaced with University of Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham.

He’s due back in court Oct. 13, 2027, for a review of his time on probation.
