Carrie Ann Inaba was rushed to the hospital after suffering a “medical emergency” mid-flight.
The “Dancing With the Stars” judge shared a new Instagram Reel Thursday night, which showed her in an ambulance en route to receive medical help.
“I was on my way to NY for something I am very passionate about. But had a small ‘medical emergency’ on the plane. I very suddenly felt quite ill,” Inaba, 58, wrote in the caption.

The professional dancer recalled experiencing symptoms of “food poisoning,” including cold sweats and dizziness, when suddenly her “arms went numb.”
“Normally I handle most of my health things on my own. Like many people who live with autoimmune disease, I travel with a health tool kit and am prepared for the worst, but this scared me,” she continued.
Inaba has been open about living with several chronic autoimmune diseases, including lupus, Sjögren’s syndrome, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.
She locked herself in a restroom to try and deal with her health problems while the plane was also experiencing turbulence.
“The flight attendants had been asked to sit in their seats as well. I didn’t want to have anyone else put themselves at risk… but when my arms went numb, it was time to ask for help.”
Although the choreographer has yet to give an update on her condition, she did follow up with another another comment under her post.
“… I’m always thankful for the moments that scare or challenge me especially with my health. They remind me that while I often face my health challenges alone, I am not alone. None of us are. The helpers are everywhere. 🤍 “
Many “DWTS” pros and alums took to the comments section wishing her a speedy recovery.
“Hope you’re ok and feeling better,” pro Pasha Pashkov wrote, while Daniella Karagach commented prayer and crying emojis.
“Praying for u diva. Hope all is ok 🙏🏾❤️” former finalist Shangela penned.
