Lauren Sánchez has learned her lesson.

The helicopter pilot went viral when she and husband Jeff Bezos attended Donald Trump’s second inauguration last year — not just for her presence, but for her wardrobe.

Mrs. Bezos wore a fuzzy white Schiaparelli coat over a white McQueen pantsuit. Under the single-breasted blazer, she layered a lace bustier that caused quite a stir both in person and online.

In a new interview with the New York Times, Sánchez discussed her buzzy look and placed a bit of blame on the last-minute switch to an indoor ceremony.

According to the Times, she “thought she had dressed conservatively,” with the former news anchor declaring, “I was super proud of myself.”

Others weren’t sold on the sartorial choice.

“Have some dignity and some respect for your setting in your circumstances,” Megyn Kelly chastised at the time. “No one should be talking about your tits. Sorry. They should be talking about the inauguration.”

After backlash from celebs and netizens alike, Sánchez subtly clapped back at the hate, “liking” supportive comments on social media.

Plus, a source told Page Six she wasn’t taking the critics to heart.

“Lauren just doesn’t give a s–t,” said one friend. “She does what she wants.”

“I get it,” Sánchez, pictured here in December 2025 in the same outfit, told the Times. “No lace at the White House. Noted.” Instagram/Lauren Sanchez

“I can never imagine writing something mean on somebody’s Instagram,” Sánchez told the Times. “It would actually break my heart. I want positive: You look great. You’re amazing. I want to just give everyone flowers. Why wouldn’t you?”

The controversial inauguration look, however, wasn’t her first fashion faux pas at a political event; she also came under fire when she wore a lacy corseted red Rasario gown to a state dinner at the White House in 2024.

Now, Sánchez seems to have made peace with the response to both looks.

“I get it,” she told the Times. “No lace at the White House. Noted.”
