Rosy Cheeks, Pastel Eyes & More

We’ve been seeing the cool-toned pinks and romantic looks on the red carpet for months now. That’s why we can confidently say this will continue to be a major trend during the spring season, especially when it comes to weddings

“I think we’re seeing a shift toward makeup that feels romantic and fresh again. After years of ultra contoured bombshell looks, artists and clients are leaning into softer color looks that still feel elevated but more effortless.

Pastels and rosy tones mimic the natural flush of skin, which translates beautifully on the red carpet and in photographs,” Nikki DeRoest, celebrity makeup artist and founder of ciel Cosmetics, told E!.

For weddings, it’s either a no-makeup “clean girl” look or a full-coverage, dramatic glam. Nearly no inbetweens. This romantic, flushed look is that. It’s all about using makeup to give our faces that natural, hazy energy.

You might have seen it on stars like Chase Infiniti, Lily Rose-Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Emma Stone, and Elle Fanning.

The question on our mind is always: how do we recreate it at home? We tapped DeRoest to give us all the must-know details. She recently did a similar look on Katelyn Larson at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Whether you’re the bride-to-be or a wedding guest looking for inspiration, keep scrolling to learn more about how to do this romantic look for the spring.
