Bill Murray has a courtside seat to his son’s success.
Indeed, the Saturday Night Live alum watched his son Luke Murray’s latest accomplishment after the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team punched their ticket to the final four of March Madness tournament with a triumphant win against Duke on March 29.
In a video shared on X, Bill hugged Luke, the team’s assistant coach after the Huskies pulled off a shocking come-from-behind victory, which included a three-point buzzer beater by freshman Braylon Mullins to secure the final score of 73-72.
The comedian—who rocked UConn gear—couldn’t contain his excitement as he gently patted Luke’s back and offered congrats.
Bill is no stranger to showing support for the 40-year-old, whom he shares with ex Margaret Kelly. In fact, throughout Luke’s five-year tenure at the school, the Groundhog Day star has often appeared in the stands during the Huskies regular season games, not to mention during the NCAA championship tournaments. (The team took home the national title in 2023 and 2024.)
