Track Soft 5 and rail out 5m from 1200m to 350m, Cut/Away applies; true the remainder:
RACE 1
7. Tassy Fox is an honest mare ready to break through fourth-up coming back a shade in distance, and on a quick turnaround. Worked home well to beat all but the winner in consecutive runs before not getting much room last time. Couldn’t be fitter, and drawn to get the right trail. 5. Daisy Baby is an improving mare and big threat second-up from a soft draw. 2. Okay Zoomer is a big market watch resuming with gear changes. 8. Twice As Quick is trained on the course, and can improve sharply second-up with weight relief and a more economical run.

RACE 2
1. Narcissist is progressive local, and another one primed to break through deep into the prep. Change of tactics when ridden from a long way back here & motored home late. Then ridden on speed last time and only missed by a long neck. Has proved his versatility, and from this draw only needs a clear crack at them from the 350m. Bred to handle soft ground. 3. Howie Do It is a well-bred three-year-old, resuming for a strong Canberra yard. Won his only start back in early spring, given an easy lead-up trial, and was scratched from Sunday’s Nowra meeting to be saved for this. 5. Screen Spirit is also first-up since spring, crucially with blinkers coming off. Big gap to the rest.

RACE 3
3. Initiate is a mare with ability who finds the right race first-up for the new Canberra stable. Was in and around the money through a deeper winter prep, including twice placed in two handy maidens at Wyong. Given time since the transfer; and has been ticking over nicely after a quiet trial. Drawn to find cover just off what should be a strong speed. 4. Magic Royale is a Wodonga-based filly on debut making the short trip over the border behind a dominant trial win, and important gear additions. 6. Princess Prussia is a lightly raced Victorian improving sharply second-up from a low draw; while another Wodonga raider 9. Needawinna can run into the money second-up.

RACE 4
7. Bravo Six is a home track three-year-old well placed second-up off a short break; despite drawing wide. Impressive two starts back here over the mile when working home strongly, then covered all but the winner over the same trip when ridden too close & failing to smash the line. Will be ridden quieter from this barrier over a suitably longer journey; and can produce a dominant closing sectional. Untried in soft, but is bred to get through it. 1. Distillery is very fit, and a natural threat deep into the campaign. Only missed by a long head in a handy race at Seymour last start. 2. King Edward improves from a low draw coming back in distance. 6. Hells Spirit finished best to win his maiden here two starts back, and is ready for this longer trip; while 3. Master Polanski gets a soft run stepping up from a win in a much weaker grade.
