Asda has announced a second standalone George store, due to open on Halloween.
George, Asda’s clothing brand, has become a popular section of its supermarket stores, thanks to a huge range of lines from back to school children’s wear to women’s wear, men’s wear and even shoes
But this is not the only thing George has become popular for, it also has a great homeware range which is both affordable and trendy.
The retailer has begun to replace its Asda Living brand portfolio across the UK.
The new store is set to open in Hull on Friday October 31 and will feature a new layout of clothing and homewear. The first George clothing and homeware store opened in Leeds in May – and it was a huge success, says Retail Gazette.
Since its launch, the store in Leeds has performed strongly.
A spokesperson for Asda said shoppers have been “impressed by the new fresh, contemporary layout and extensive range of clothing and homeware.”
Asda aims to open a further 10 of these stores across the UK over the next year.
George managing director, Liz Evans, said: “Our pilot George store in Leeds has been a tremendous success, thanks to the dedication and passion of our colleagues and the fantastic response from customers.
“It’s shown us just how much love there is for the George brand and our hero product categories.
“Building on that momentum, we’re excited to bring the stand-alone George store concept to Hull giving even more customers the opportunity to enjoy an inspiring, easy-to-shop experience that celebrates everything they know and love about George.”
She adds that it will be located on Anlaby Retail Park in Hull and that the new George store will offer local shoppers the chance to explore the brand-new George Christmas range.
The Christmas range will feature partywear, cosy nightwear, festive decorations and an exclusive collection.
