Police said Polair and the dog squad were called in to assist, leading to one man aged in his 20s being taken into custody in the major Brisbane tunnel.

A second man fled the scene and scaled a house in Woolloongabba, remaining on the roof for several hours. Police suspected the house was not occupied at the time.

Shortly after 7.30pm he surrendered to police and was also taken into custody.

He has suffered minor injuries while fleeing police, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

No charges had been laid on Tuesday evening, as the man in his 20s assisted officers with inquiries, and the second remained in hospital.
