Speaking of Kate, a royal source told the Mail on Sunday: “Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it”.
This comes after the source also claimed that Kate and William’s current home, Adelaide Cottage, wasn’t the “original plan”.
It has been reported that Kate and William had originally wanted to move into Royal Lodge, but, due to Andrew’s refusal to move, the couple compromised and move into the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage instead.
The source added: “Them going into Adelaide Cottage was never the plan. But they were forced to because Prince Andrew wouldn’t shift”.
While it was originally said that the move would happen before the end of the year, it has since been suggested that the family will actually be in soon as renovation work at the property has made good progress.
Although a moving date has not been officially confirmed, it is now expected that William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis will now be settled into their new home by November 5.
The move will mean the family will be settled in time for the children to go back to school for the final term before Christmas.
