Glimmer for New Years with REVLON Glimmer Liquid Shadow –

Adding sparkle is a definite must for ringing in the new year, but making a decision on how is the question we’re here to answer.

Eyeshadows for me are a way to change a look without fussing around on other aspects of makeup. It is a simple and fun way to tone down or elevate your overall aesthetic depending on where your day might take you.

Relvon’s Glimmer Liquid Shadows are easy to carry around and even easier to apply.

The Highlights

The buildable aspect of this product stood out upon first application. I was in denial that a sparkle can be layered without being too much on the first swipe, but the velvet formula allows for a gradual build. The subtly of the build when we’re talking  glimmering shadows, is one that is still approachable, and perhaps even sleek enough for everyday wear.

It was hard to decide on the colour to choose, another win for this product with subtle tones ranging from champagne gold to pomegranate rouge, these shades scream holiday but also neutral and versatile.

My favourite of them all was layering the different shades. Because of the replica formulas despite the colour differences, they melted into each other seamlessly, leaving a sheer hue based on your amount of layering.

I did some swaps to see how the shades appear directly on the skin.

Top: Glimmerverse (202) Middle: UFGlo (206) Bottom: In your Orbit (205)

#206 is the perfect quick swipe to guarantee a beautiful and easily-applied look. The colour is versatile for a range of skin tones and has a neutral base colour. #202 gave the perfect subtle smokiness with a classic silver sparkle in just the right amount. In Your Orbit, #205 went beautifully layered on top of both shades, and gave that festive colour the look called for.

This product has (definitely) made the cut for this years new years rotation, and thanks to the subtle glow, I can’t wait to incorporate it in more looks that deserve a little shine.
