Teenage girl dies in hit-and-run, police hunt for ute
A teenage girl has died in a late-night hit-and-run in Moreton Bay.
The 17-year-old was struck by a white ute about 11.27pm in Margate at Redcliffe about 11.27pm on Monday.
Officers performed CPR, but the girl died at the scene.

Police believe the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the hit-and-run.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the Mabel Street and Margate Parade area is urged to contact police.
The crash scene is under an hour by car from the Brisbane CBD.
